ANDERSON CHESTER HILL, II
Biography
Anderson C. Hill, II is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and resident of Florida since 1976. He accepted CHRIST at the age of 14 and holds life membership in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Hill holds a Juris Doctor ’82 and M.B.A. ’82 from The University of Florida, B.S.’76 from Clark College in Atlanta Georgia. The U of FL designated Hill as the first minority graduate of its JD/MBA program. Hill’s achievements are many. Hill is a recipient of the Father of the Year Award by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Male Role Model of the Year Award, both from Bethune-Cookman University. Hill received the Humanitarian Award from the Anti-Recidivist Effort, Inc., and has spoken throughout the state and country as an inspirational and motivational speaker. His messages are well received in educational and professional circles throughout the nation. Hill is President of HZ Construction, Inc. (www.hzflorida.com), with a separate consulting service for Complex Business Issues, as well as a Florida State Certified Building Contractor. His company was responsible for administration of $90 million in contracts for minority participation at the new Amway Events Center. Hill is a graduate of Leadership Orlando and Leadership Orange. He is a past 13-year member of the Orange County Public Schools Superintendent’s Advisory Committee and founder of Education is Cool – Get One, Inc. (www.educationiscool.org). Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando appointed him to its Board of Directors for 3 terms. The Central Intelligence Agency formally appointed him as an Urban Fellow. Hill presently serves as an ordained Deacon at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Orlando. He is the founder of Men of Jesus, Inc. (www.MoJesus.net) an outreach Ministry, with a new Chapter now established in Cleveland, Ohio. The Orange County Branch of the NAACP nominated him to become their former Chairman of Education for 3 years. He has been happily married for more than 45+ years to Sandra Alene, with 3 beautiful children. The couple has appeared on syndicated national television shows to discuss their powerful marital experiences. Hill is a published author of In Search of the Truth, (www.searchofthetruth.com) an outstanding story of his life. The Roper Family YMCA of Central Florida appointed Hill as its Board of Management’s Chairman for FY 2006 & 2007 and expanded its building facility by 10,000+ square feet under his leadership. Hill was awarded the Roper YMCA Volunteer of the Year on May 17th, 2007. Hill was appointed as a member of the Pine Hills Business Redevelopment Task Force by the Orange County Board of Commissioners for FY 2010. Anderson is honored to be a recipient of the African American Chamber of Central Florida’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for FY 2012. His most recent honor is being named as an Emerging Leader by the U.S. Small Business Administration, FY 2021. Praise the LORD for HE is worthy to be praised, always!
